Case Studies

Genalysis, a mining and sampling laboratory, has installed telescopic ducting and flexible extraction systems to lower the amount of dust in the atmosphere and enhance safety at its facility.

According to the company, the systems remove up to a tonne of dust per week from the Perth laboratory. The amount of dust generated by the sample preparation processes in the facility means without the system, workers would be subject to low visibility and health problems.

Inskip Dust and Fume installed the system in four to five weeks. The system consisted of two Donaldson Torit down flow units, a DF04-48 and a DF03-36 with a cartridge collector. These were connected with Eximo SpeedLock ducting.

The dust collector is a reverse pulse, delta p controller, and is pulse on demand.

According to the installation engineers, this is suited for the type of work undertaken at the site.

The telescopic ducting was said to have enhanced the installation process because there was no need for measuring and cutting on site.
